On 16 July 2026, the Asian Maritime Technological College (AMCOL) held the Teacher Appreciation Ceremony, Epaulette Presentation, and Maritime Cadet Capping Ceremony for the 2026 Academic Year. The ceremony was attended by the College’s executives, faculty members, staff, and maritime cadets. 
The Teacher Appreciation Ceremony was held to provide students with an opportunity to express their respect and gratitude to the teachers who have imparted knowledge to them. It also encouraged students to recognize the value of teachers who provide knowledge, guidance, and instruction, nurturing them to become individuals who possess both academic competence, moral integrity, and discipline.
The event also featured an Epaulette Presentation and Capping Ceremony for maritime cadets. These ceremonies symbolize honor, pride, responsibility, and the students’ official entry into the maritime profession. They also served to inspire and encourage the students to remain committed to their studies, continuously develop themselves, and perform their duties with honesty, discipline, and adherence to professional ethics. 
The ceremony was filled with warmth, dignity, and pride, reflecting the strong relationship between teachers and students, as well as the College’s commitment to developing knowledgeable and capable maritime professionals who are fully prepared to pursue quality careers in the maritime industry.
